The incoming Chairman of a listed African gold miner urgently sought assistance to investigate allegations of fraud at a senior level that were threatening the financial future of the company. Extensive investigations uncovered a cabal of senior executives were conspiring with a former shareholder, a prominent local businessman, to defraud investors by dumping worthless assets into the company while selling off valuable properties to other companies controlled by the businessman.
